I have recognized Christ as Savior for the majority of my life, but have only recently come to recognize Him as my Lord. What I noticed when I truly surrendered was that my speech became more glorifying. However, even though I have not used cursing or swearing for years, there has lingered in my language ONE WORD which creeps out whenever I am frustrated or angered. I have wanted this word to be eliminated from my vocabulary for years, but it’s been stubbornly persistent.

During the message last Sunday about Spirit-filled speech, I asked Jesus to fill me with His Spirit in EVERY area. My longing was for His Spirit to become real to me, not just in my thoughts, but in my actions as well. As I proceeded to live through the week, of course, situations came up which frustrated or angered me. But I noticed that THAT WORD was GONE!! The word which escaped from my lips in these situations was almost like rainbows and flowers; I have no other way to describe it. The Holy Spirit has taken my awful word out and put His beautiful word into my mouth!

I have thoroughly enjoyed taking the P50 journey with our church.  The sermons that have been going on at our church have been outstanding.  The sermon on April 27 pretty much left our church stunned and speechless with wonder.  Our pastor had different church members come and give their testimonies to show how our testimony can help others. Three of them I already knew about, the third and final one left the church in tears.  After the gentleman gave his testimony Pastor did the altar call, we had healings and people forgiving members of the families it was awesome to be a part of.  I know personally that the final testimony left me feeling like someone had stripped the skin right off of me and I felt naked before the holy spirit.  I have never had the experience that the person giving the testimony did but I could relate to hearing that 'still, small voice' that comes when you ask why all the things in  your life happen and God says, "I did this so I can make you into the person I need you to be.  All the things that happened to you happened to make you who you are.  Your life is an example for others."  I've told my husband this before but I guess even though I know it applies to me, it hit me just right on Sunday.  I started to cry and couldn't stop.

Thanks to Pastor Lindy Carnett and the other authors of the P50 for the lessons they are helping us learn.

I’ve got to tell you…these messages have  been great seeds for preparation.  The Lord is moving mightily through the messages and the P50 book (we distributed 80 of them)….families reconnecting, rededications, guests invited and many coming to Christ in our services.  It has flowed right in with what the Lord was doing prior to the distribution and it is taking us to the next amazing level of intensity.  This is not just within the walls of the church building.  May outside opportunities are being seen and taken for Christ.   I believe only Heaven will be able to tell us what wonderful fruit has resulted from this great message.  I will keep you abreast on the details and more as time allows.  God is getting so much Glory in these days of seeking Him!   More Lord!

God’s Best to You!

We have seen some really great things starting to take place here as people are walking the P50 journey.  The main thing that has really been like a switched on light bulb for people is that they can live their every day ordinary lives- extraordinarily.  People are beginning to see that they don't have to be a witness... they ARE a witness!

Sunday's message on fellowship could not have been more timely

Good afternoon!

Many of you purchased the devotional P50 from Sam Farina during Holy Week.  I especially have enjoyed the emphasis on “community” in the last few devotional thots beginning with last Friday’s treatment of Ephesians 6:10-17.  I had not noticed before that the “you” in verse 11 was plural in the Greek.  I checked it in my inter-linear New Testament and sure enough it is!  So the message really is to the church body rather than to us as individuals.  We will not defeat the enemy standing alone, we will do so as we stand together in the unity of the Spirit.  ON THAT NOTE, I appeal to all of us to plan to be part of the PRAYER VIGIL this Friday from 9 PM to Midnight (or for some part of it).
You may be struggling in areas of your life.  The Bible would encourage us to not try and deal with it alone, but to do so in COMMUNITY

I wanted you to know that the books have arrived and in great shape.  We distributed 75 copies to families in our church and I am VERY excited about the impact it is already having.  They are reading the introduction through Saturday and we all start the journey together on Resurrection Sunday.

Please express our appreciation to Sam and the others who have labored for this to come to fruition.

God’s Best to You!

Timely...that's all I can say! Going through the P50 book on day 3, it was exactly what I need to hear and come face to face with again! Facing the wrong filters in our lives that most times we allow to creep in and before we realize it we are meditating on a wrong concept of God and who He is! As well, to be reminded that God has already given us incredible and strong weapons, they are there at our disposal, but we have to choose use them! God is calling us to do huge and great things...jaw dropping things with our lives and He hasn't left us alone but given us everything we need to accomplish what He's called us to be so that we can do what He's called us to do!! WOW...only 3 days into the journey and it's shaping up to be quite the ride!!

I read the P50 book and on Sunday shared the truths about God speaking to us if we will listen with a Hispanic woman as well as her son and daughter-in-law. Her husband was in the hospital with a heart attack and possibly drug overdose.  On Monday after sharing this with her she went to the house hunting his prescription bottles. They needed to do a drug count. She spent a long time searching and called her daughter-in-law.  She reminded her of your instruction of asking Holy Spirit and then quieting yourself to listen.  This is what she did.  This is a new Christian.

To her surprise  she heard an audible voice telling her where to look for the prescription bottles and she obeyed and what did she find but the bottles!  And he had not taken as many pills as was suspected.  Thank you so much for your teaching. They wanted me to share this with you.

" I'm way late on letting you know how enthused I am about the P50 publication. This is a wonderful resource that gets beyond the fluff and usual muddledness about the usage of spiritual gifts. Really tangible stuff and thanks for making me aware of this. "
