I like the idea here on day 11 that the things we used to do before receiving Christ were natural and carnal., but now that Christ has regenerated us, we are loosed to do those same things only now they are spiritual and holy.
To me that means that the job we did for a paycheck before, we do for Christ now and he blesses us a paycheck on the side. What we used to do for ourselves or for others, we now do for Jesus, and He makes those things holy and spiritual. If the Word of God is true, and I know it is, then we really have become new creations. Old has past and new has come. With that in mind, our life's motivation has experienced a paradigm shift. We have a new agenda... to serve Christ.
Some think they can't do it where they are currently at in life. They have excuse after excuse: "My boss is too... The Coworkers I'm around are... My ex is too..." and on and on. But the fact is, we don't have to be in an ideal setting to do God's work. In fact, God puts us in those dark places so we can be the light to those around us. Joyce Meyer wrote a book once that was titled "Bloom where you are planted." That's what the Holy Spirit helps us to do... bloom where we are planted.
